Why I built Dabanti
I grew up in Chad and left for Tunisia to study. I started in biology, dropped out before my second year, and found my way to data science: a bachelor’s at the Faculty of Sciences of Gabès, then a research master’s at ISTIC Borj Cedria.
Then came the work: data scientist at Atomic-IT PRO, then researcher at the University of Trento, building machine-learning pipelines for human-centred AI, with a paper accepted at EUVIP 2025.
And then, like so many people, I was job hunting. I typed the same answers into the same forms, night after night, never knowing if an application had even arrived. Speaking several languages and having a non-linear path didn’t make it any easier.
So I built Dabanti. It finds roles, writes cover letters in your voice and applies for you. When it doesn’t know an answer, it stops and asks you instead of guessing. It only counts an application when the employer confirms receiving it. And it searches in English, French, Italian, Arabic and more, because talent doesn’t speak just one language.
I’ve never fit neatly in a box, and most good candidates don’t either. I believe the new literacy is data and the tools that use it, and that everyone deserves access to them without a fight.
Do your best, and don’t be too hard on yourself. Let Dabanti send the applications.
